Feltmakers Ireland Exhibition

From the Same Earth – Essence of Nature Exhibition

26 August – 3 October 2026

I created From the Same Earth for Feltmakers Ireland’s Essence of Nature exhibition at The Leitrim Design House in Carrick-on-Shannon.

In this felted work, a human hand and forms from the natural world come together as one. My idea was simple: people, animals and plants are all part of nature, and we share the same basic needs in order to live and flourish.

I was proud to have the piece included in this exhibition of contemporary fibre art from 26 August to 3 October 2026.

Nature’s Glass – Water and Flow Exhibition at Phoenix Park

2-26 April 2026

I created Nature’s Glass for Feltmakers Ireland’s Water and Flow exhibition at the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre Gallery in Dublin.

The piece was made primarily with needle felting, with a small amount of wet felting, using all-natural Irish wool. My interpretation grew from the realisation that people, animals and plants all depend on water to survive and flourish. Water is a basic need shared by every part of the living world.

I was delighted to have the work included alongside pieces by 67 other Feltmakers Ireland members in April 2026.

Sonder – GRETB Art & Design Exhibition

June 2026

I exhibited my work in Sonder, the 2026 Art & Design student exhibition at the GRETB Further Education and Training Centre in Tuam.

The exhibition brought together the different ideas, skills and personal approaches developed by learners across drawing, painting, sculpture, design and visual communication. Showing my work alongside the other students was a lovely way to mark that creative journey and share it with the local community.

Molly Malone – Symbols of Ireland

5-30 March 2025

I created Molly Malone for Feltmakers Ireland’s Symbols of Ireland exhibition at the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre Gallery in Dublin.

Born and raised in Dublin’s fair city, I have always felt that Molly Malone and her wheelbarrow hold a special place in the hearts of Dublin people. I made the piece by needle felting natural wool, dyed natural wool and alpaca wool onto fabric.

I was proud to be one of the 47 artists in the exhibition, which was officially opened by Sabina Higgins and welcomed more than 400 people to its launch in March 2025.

My Beginner’s Guides to Felting

2015

I wrote two short, illustrated guides to help beginners take their first steps into working with wool: Easy To Follow Guide To Needle Felting and Easy To Follow Guide To Wet Felting.

I wanted the guides to feel friendly and practical, explaining the tools, materials and basic techniques in clear language while sharing the small tips that can save time, avoid frustration and help a new felter create with confidence.

Both paperback guides were independently published in 2015.

Book Illustration

Illustrating Billy Balloon

2017

I created the illustrations for Billy Balloon, a children’s book written by my husband Eamonn and independently published in 2017.

The project gave me the chance to bring my husband’s story to life through character, expression and visual detail. It remains a lovely example of how my creative work can move between standalone artwork and illustration.
